KUNDALINI YOGA

"Kundalini Yoga is uncoiling yourself to find your potential and your vitality and to reach for your virtues. There is nothing from outside. Try to understand that. All is in you. You are the storehouse of your totality." ~Yogi Bhajan
The teachings of kundalini yoga as made such a positive impact on my life, I really don't want to think about how my life would be without it. This type of yoga is one of the fastest that I have found to bring body, mind and spirit into alignment. The practice has a way of getting you out of your head and back into your own creative flow again. Less stress and more clarity & peace in your life, this has been my experience over the years when teaching kundalini yoga in New York. Kundalini yoga as taught by yoga master Yogi Bhajan is also known as the yoga of awareness. These yoga classes are a mixture of meditation, chakra work, mantras, pranayama and postures that bring balance to your whole being. There are no levels in kundalini yoga, so no previous experience in yoga is necessary, each class tends to address a particular topic and kundalini yoga deals with a wide range of topics. For example a class could be about overcoming anger, improving flexibility, helping your heart center or even strengthening your aura . There are also a wide range of meditations in this style of yoga practice, I like to think of it as a powerful toolbox for some of life's challenges. I use this type of yoga often when holding a 1-on-1 class. I have seen real positive change in many of my consistent students .   I've been teaching this style of yoga for over 20 years and it has been a true blessing in my life and I am grateful to Yogi Bhajan and my own kundalini teachers for helping to start me along this path.
